Founded in 2012 by two Black young social entrepreneurs and professional colleagues, Sthembiso Emmanuel Ngubo and Nelisiwe Gloria Ngcobo, Afromed Medical Services (AMS) has grown to a fleet of seven (11) highly kitted ambulances and (6) rapid medical response support vehicles at the command of its clients, currently servicing the KwaZulu-Natal community predominantly. Between them, Sthembiso and Nelisiwe have more than 18 year’s continuous experience in critical care ambulance service operations and management.

AMS currently employs 25 highly trained and experienced permanent staff and 15 temporally who service clients 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All our staff is 100 percent youth.

The company is a full member of the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF – SA) and the executive management are members in good standing of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Our CEO, Mr Muthuphei Charles Ramuhashi is a qualified and experienced business man with over 20 years intense experience in operations as well as business structuring.
